If you’re looking for a perfect blend of outdoor adventure, natural beauty, and family-friendly fun, Warsaw Caves Conservation Area is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean, well-maintained, and welcoming the entire area was.

The highlight, of course, is the cave system—a fascinating and truly unique experience. Crawling, climbing, and exploring through the various caves felt like a real adventure. Some are spacious and easy to navigate, while others are tight and challenging, giving everyone in the group a chance to test their limits. Make sure to bring headlamps or flashlights, sturdy shoes, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty—because you will be crawling!

Beyond the caves, the scenic trails are beautiful and well-marked. The hike along the Indian River offers some stunning views and peaceful moments, especially near the limestone gorge. We also loved the lookout points—perfect for photos and taking in the natural surroundings.

There are picnic areas, clean washroom facilities, and even camping spots if you want to make it a weekend getaway. The park staff were friendly, informative, and clearly care about the area.

What really stood out to us was the variety of activities—whether you’re into hiking, caving, canoeing, swimming, or just relaxing in nature, there’s something here for everyone. It’s a fantastic place for kids and adults alike, and a wonderful way to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with nature.

Highly recommend Warsaw Caves to anyone who enjoys the outdoors. We’ll definitely be back—next time with more friends and maybe even some marshmallows for the campfire!

Clean comfort station (just sucks that it's so far away from the family camp sites). Outhouses are well maintained. Friendly staff, beautiful trails. Cave trails were closed due to the ice storm damage, so hoping to come back when they open up. I'll be back!

So ridiculously gorgeous! The trails are beautiful and the caves were amazing to explore. The only reason I may have given a rating less than 5 is that I think the signage on the trails and at the caves could be clearer and some needed to be replaced. I wish there was a way to make nature more affordable! The caves are the exact level of excitement, fear and comfort for a family with kids (ages 6+). Everyone at the park helped and encouraged each other. It was a beautiful outing.

Great place to hike and explore. The landscape is tough to describe. Large boulders, crevices, caves, all within a beautiful forest. Indian River passes through the conservation area as well. A great place for kids and just as enjoyable for adults. Bring a head lamp, gloves, and sturdy shoes if you plan to explore the caves. Lots of other trails to hike if caves are not your thing. The cost to get in is about $20 per car but worth the price.
