First off, if you're a dog owner please PLEASE come with the intention of picking up after your dog. The amount of feces on the trail left behind by inconsiderate owners is gross. Just stay away from trails if you're not going to be respectful, honestly.

Otherwise, the trails are fairly easy to follow and go through an array of habitats. The yellow trail gives you nice views and access to the lake, great for birdwatchers. Saw lots of milkweed stems in the prairie areas so I'm looking forward to coming back in the summer and finding all the bugs.

The snowpack right now is packed in some places but crusty in others, and I find it a bit tiring as I would break through in random spots. Just the time of year, but be cognizant!

Overall a lovely area but no garbage cans (explains the lazy owners just leaving their dogs' poop behind) and no washroom. Parking has space for ~8 cars.

Great place for a hike with a diversity of trails. Trails are well-maintained and nothing is overly difficulty aside from a couple moderate inclines. Good for kids and dogs (leash required).

Found this place on a google search while in the area and decided to go for a little walk before beginning our long drive back home. From what we could tell the place was clean and at the time we were there, very quiet. We did have to keep an eye out for dog poop that some lazy dog owners chose to leave behind along the trail.
We didn’t go too far in as we were unfamiliar with the area and didn’t want to get lost and it was nearing dusk, but we could see that there were different trails for one to venture out on.
Not sure if the place ever gets plowed in the winter but when we were there the trails were deep with snow. Previous people walking the trail flattened the snow enough to make it easier to walk along.

Very enjoyable hike on the leaf covered trails. Lots of coloured trail markings so you could look ahead for the trail. Parking was good and there was an outhouse there. Would like to see "you are here" on the signs. Did all the trails. My dog loved it. Will be back.

Diverse trail system here with plenty to see. The parts overlooking Gannon's Narrows are especially scenic. However, the trails are poorly marked and the maps need updating. Can be confusing at times - I got turned around on a couple occasions. Better navigation would make this system A+

First trek on the yellow trail. The lookout did not disappoint. Nicely shaded with a gentle breeze and two Muskoka chairs to rest in. Easy trail. Almost all wooded.

It’s a great hiking spot with nice views of Pigeon lake and many different “biomes” I.e. coniferous and deciduous forests, meadows, shoreline etc. However, the trail was poorly marked and the lookout spot could have been better maintained, especially if you’re going out of the way to see it. There were a decent number of mosquitos and a lot of sunny areas, so dress/equip appropriately. The beautiful monarch butterflies were also a big plus!
